How To Draw A Door. Doors have become one of the most used and often overlooked facets of our daily lives. When was the last time you stopped and considered how much you interacted with the doors in your home? They can also come in many different styles and constructions, but they all serve a similar function. Besides being useful for many purposes, it can also be surprisingly difficult to learn how to draw a door.
With the help of this guide, you’ll find that it doesn’t have to be a challenge when you know what to do. So get ready to open the door in this step-by-step guide on how to draw a door in 6 steps! You can draw many more characters like batman drawing easy, Anubis drawing, cat drawing, cobra drawing, blueberry drawing, coconut drawing and many more drawing for kids.
Step 1:
Drawing a door would be easy because a closed door is just a large rectangle with some detail. However, we will go beyond this drawing by making it slightly open in this guide on drawing a door. It will complicate things a bit, but it will be worth it! Throughout this guide, you will draw many straight lines. For this reason, you will find this guide with only one rule to help you.
Once you have your trust rule, you can start with this first step. While this guide may get more complicated as we go along, this first step should be easy! You will draw a vertical rectangle with no background. You can use various drawing tools to help you get the perfect right angles for the door.
Step 2:
Now is where this door drawing might get more difficult! It will be easy if you follow the reference image carefully. Using your ruler, draw a diagonal line towards the door from each top corner. Then draw a straight line down from the top left corner. You can also draw a horizontal line along the top left line. We’ll leave the rest of the top of the frame blank for now, as we’ll draw the door in that space later.
Step 3:
For this third part of our guide on drawing a door, we will draw the door itself. The door will open slightly towards us as spectators. It will start from the corners on the right side of the frame and then slope to the top edge. The bottom edge will slope down; two straight vertical lines will connect the two edges. Once you’ve drawn it to look like our reference image, you’re ready for the next part!
Step 4:
The hardest parts of drawing your door are now complete so we can focus on a few details for the final steps. You can start by drawing a square at the top of the door. This square’s top and side edges will be parallel to the door’s outline. Once you’ve drawn this square, we’ll add three rectangles below it. These rectangles will be long, thin and equal in width and length. As with the square, they will also be parallel to the outline of the doorway. This may sound more confusing than it is, but if you follow these instructions and check the reference image carefully, you should be fine with getting it right!
Step 5:
A door is useless without a handle, so we’ll add this step to our guide to drawing a door. Luckily, this should be the easiest of all the steps in this guide! It would help if you drew a small circular shape near the centre of the door to give it a handle. Then add a line near the edge of this circle for more detail. Once you’ve added that last item, you’re ready for the final step. You can also add some of your touches to this drawing. You can draw decorative elements for the door or pictures on the wall next to it. These are just a few ideas you could use, but you can have fun getting creative with them! Could you make it look like a door in your house?
Step 6:
It’s time to finish the design of your door with surprising colours. In our example image, we used shades of yellow for the door and blue for the frame. Finally, we ended up with a little brown for the inside of the door. These are the colours we have chosen, but they are by no means the only colours you can choose! This step lets you have a lot of fun experimenting with the colours you like to bring this image to life. We can’t wait to see what colours and art mediums you choose!
