Valentine’s day is coming, and as with all holidays, there are certain movies we want to watch with our partners when it’s over. No one says that it needs to be a luxury holiday, but it doesn’t hurt to spend it together and giving gifts means spending time together as well. Most of us look at Valentine’s Day as a romantic occasion filled with flowers, movies and lovely dinners. However, no matter how much effort you put in making your partner feel appreciated and loved, you still can’t guarantee that they’ll be equally happy on Valentine’s Day. Therefore, to make sure the lovefest will be as perfect as possible, consider watching some great movies to watch on Valentine’s day with your partner.
Black Swan (2010):
This psychological thriller stars Emily Blunt as a ballerina who struggles with her weight and performance anxiety after being cast in an upcoming production of Swan Lake. Her struggle is further complicated when she meets a mysterious man (Viggo Mortensen) who might be something more than a friend but equally less than her partner on stage. Watching this movie with your partner can make a great choice and you can also send valentine gifts online.
The Artist (2011):
When we think of movies about love and romance, we typically think of love stories like “Romeo and Juliet” or “Cinderella.” But what if you want something different? This silent film tells the story of Jean Dujardin as a silent movie actor struggling to find work while trying to keep his relationship alive with his dedicated wife, who just wants him to be happy in his career choices. This movie will make the best pick to watch on Valentine’s day. You can also buy gifts online for your partner and make her feel special.
The Notebook (2004):
This movie stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as two young lovers who meet in 1940s rural America. They fall in love over the course of a summer and then part ways until they meet again in 1945. It’s one of those movies that captures true love and how it goes beyond just physical attraction. The emotional scenes are what make it so great, especially when they break down at home after having each other on their minds all day.
The Fault in Our Stars (2014):
This movie tells the story of two teens who go through cancer together and find their way through life together as well. Shailene Woodley plays Hazel Grace Lancaster who loses her sight to cancer, but she finds solace from Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), who is also fighting for his life against the disease. The relationship between these two characters is what makes the movie more worth watching.

Love You More (2016):
This one is our favorite! It stars Jennifer Lopez, who plays an LA chef who gets dumped by her boyfriend because he wants to become an actor/musician instead of settling down and being with her. After getting dumped, she moves back home with her mother and starts dating again. The film has some funny moments but also has some serious ones as well. It is definitely worth seeing if you have time for one more movie!
Love Actually (2003):
This movie features eight different stories about love from around the world throughout history that all intersect at Christmas Eve in London. There are some really funny moments in this one including when Hugh Grant’s character gets mistaken for another by his assistant (played by Alan Rickman).
To Kill A Mockingbird:
The first film on our list is from the acclaimed director of The Help and The Blind Side, who brings us one of the most iconic love stories ever told. This classic features an all-star cast, including Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch and Mary Badham as Scout. It’s a heartbreaking story about how one man can make a difference in the world.
Romeo + Juliet:
This is another classic romance movie, which will make you fall in love with it the moment you watch it. With its intense plot and amazing performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, this movie is bound to be an unforgettable one.
