Whether painting your kitchen cabinets or renovating your current kitchen with new cabinets, this is your one-stop guide for choosing the best kitchen white cabinet paints.

Rather than just choosing a white hue you like, you must ensure it coordinates with the other elements in your kitchen and home. We will walk you through deciding on the right white paint for your kitchen’s countertop, backsplash, and other fixed elements. After this, you will be a white paint color expert.

The 6 Best Paints For Kitchen Cabinets

These 6 whites will give you a good starting point, and hopefully, one of these white colors will work for your kitchen. The first three whites in this list are true whites, free of undertones.

The last three of the whites are off-whites. They are soft whites that usually have yellow or greige undertones. You can’t use these whites where bright whites should be used and vice versa. Read more about paint for white cabinets or buy white kitchen cabinets in Oak Creek from Badger Cabinets.

High Reflective White

We are kicking off this list with one of the brightest whites other there: Sherwin Williams High Reflective white.

This paint is an ultra-bright white that is free of any undertones, and even though the next two whites on this list are considered true whites, High Reflective White is brighter than both of them.

You need to pair this color with cooler elements to look cohesive. Think marble countertops and backsplashes that are on the cooler side. You shouldn’t use an ultra-bright white with elements that have off-white tones. Trust us; it won’t look good.

If you test the High Reflective White (or the other two true whites on this list)and want something even brighter, try out Sherwin Williams Extra White.

Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace

A true favorite white, Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace is a true white, free of any undertones. If High Reflective White is too bright, Chantilly Lace might hit the spot.

This bright white is popular, but it isn’t for every kitchen. Furthermore, this white doesn’t have even a slight hint of an undertone in it. So if your countertop/backsplashes even have a little bit of soft white undertone in them, you can’t go for this color.

You will need to pair this paint with the whitest of white countertops to make it work. For example, some marble or some quartz/quartzite that is white with blue undertones.

Snowfall White

It is the ‘darkest’ among the true whites on this list. This paint is slightly softer than High Reflective White and Chantilly Lace. It is softer because it is not as bright, but it is still a true white, so there are any yellow undertones in it.

If your décor needs a true white, you should opt for Snowfall White, but you feel like the other two suggestions were just a bit too bright. Besides marble, Empira White quartz would also be a good match for Snowfall White.

Cloud White

Cloud White is the brightest of the off-white paint colors on this list. It has been a Benjamin Moore crowd favorite for years. Similar to all white paint colors, you must be careful with Cloud White, as it doesn’t work for every room.

Cloud White has a yellow undertone with some greige to it, but it’s much more yellow than White Dove. You should pair this paint with an off-white countertop. If you put cloud white with a bright white countertop or backsplash, your cabinets will look yellow!

White Dove

Benjamin Moore White Dove is one of our favorites. But, even though it’s our favorite, it’s not a white we recommend each and every time.

We like White Dove because while it’s off-white, it’s very versatile. White Dove has more of a grey undertone in it, rather than a yellow (like you usually see with off-whites).

It’s a softer white, but it isn’t too creamy. Now, you shouldn’t pair White Dove with marble countertops, but it will be more flexible than your typical off-white. If the countertops you select seem like a cross between true white and off-white, you can’t go wrong with White Dove.

Cambria Brittanica, a popular shade of white quartz, will look great with White Dove as it has a bit of an off-white tint, with the softer gray veining working perfectly with the gray undertone in White Dove.

Alabaster

Sherwin Williams Alabaster is the darkest of the off-white. The yellow undertone in this paint adds significant depth and really softens up a space. You can’t pair Alabaster with cool tones. You need to pick something much warmer. Brittanica Warm will look great with Alabaster.

Conclusion

Kitchen white cabinets will never go out of style, so this guide to the best white will help you transform your kitchen with just a single paint color.
